Sydney Science Park Precinct Plan

Sydney Science Park is a 287-hectare mixed-use development in the Western Sydney Aerotropolis Precinct that will be a major hub for scientific research, development and innovation in food, energy, and health.

Yerrabingin was involved in the development and application of Designing with Country narratives for the Urban Structure Plan, and Precinct 1 State Significant Development Application proposals, working closely with Celestino, Orion, Willowtree Planning, Place Design Group, SJB, Eco Logical Australia, Enspire Solutions and Northrop.

The Designing with Country strategy reflects the key aspirations and cultural expressions of the local First Nations Community. Building on prior Connecting with Country engagement by other consultants, Yerrabingin summarised the data into key Designing with Country narratives. We then worked with the consultants to create a matrix that breaks down the typologies of open space and their ability to achieve the outcomes for Country. This was shared with the First Nations community for their input, feedback and endorsement.

Our Connecting with Country Design Report summarised the entire process and was accompanied by our Recognise Country Response as required by the Aerotropolis development process.
