About

Our team was one of only six teams to be short-listed in the international design competition for the relocation of the MAAS Powerhouse Precinct.

“We want Powerhouse Parramatta to be as alive and vibrant as the Lanes on a festival day and as full of energy and anticipation as an Eels match. That is why we are putting public spaces first — making the river bank a place of convening, letting the city flow below the buildings and up into the museum, creating laneways in the sky." – Architectus, project lead.

Our role

The role of Yerrabingin in the design and proposal process was to ensure an ‘Indigenous narrative’ was developed and embedded within the project design. Human-centred design required the development of design prototypes that require ideation, iteration and refinement throughout the design process.
