About

Yerrabingin worked in collaboration with Turf Design Studio and Guida Moseley Brown Architects on the redesign of Sub Base Platypus, the former torpedo factory in North Sydney. The plan is part of a decade-long process of returning the site, managed by the Harbour Trust into public hands.

Our role

We facilitated a design session with local Aboriginal community members, TURF Design Studio and with Guida Moseley Brown Architects design teams and Harbour Trust representatives to ensure the Indigenous narrative was appropriately incorporated into the Sub Base redesign. Rapid prototyping was created from this and became a key tool for the empathy research phase of the project.
